That is awesome to watch these starlings build their nest in the tree. And nice to see buds too. We got 16 inches of snow on the first day of spring here so no nesting yet and no spring birds either! aka robins.

Beautiful vibrant colors in that first shot- not a big fan of starlings, but these are great captures!

I have been trying to photograph the starlings for two weeks! These are excellent captures. I love that you were able to get them being industrious. I was only going for the colors in their feathers. Great job!

True love, and beautiful shots with the feathers showing all the different colours. What a great title today, I wondered what the photos would be, and so enjoyed the photo story.Do you have starling boxes? Here they are very popular, made from wood, nailed to a high railing , with a perch suitably placed outside. Cheers from Jean

Beautiful series, Brian! I guess one bird's loss is another bird's gain:)

Way to be there and be aware for that moment. I love how you caught the beauty of those blue and speckled feathers. Most people don't see how pretty starlings are, especially when they are in giant noisy flocks that leave heaps of guano.

I tried all yesterday to get the starlings, but the Louisiana ones are quite skittish compared to the ones in Texas. Great series of images.
