Outdoor Plumbing

There aren't a lot of throne rooms like this in use anymore, except in western movies or backwoods deer camps. Visiting one of these rare, but aromatic establishments in the dark of night in the middle of winter will certainly wake you up!

That's a whole lotta, well, you know....

Corrosive, indeed!

I grew up using one of these and beleive me I was never tempted to linger on a cold winter's night :)

Love the post!

I'd say this one leans toward modern feel with its tilt out replacement window ;)

I grew up near a Amish community and these were EVERYWHERE!

We've got one in our back "yard" and it came in handy when we were rebuilding the farmhouse (no indoor plumbing for a couple of months.) I'm really liking your new blog look Brian. Very nice!

Those things give me nightmares!
I'm even traumatized by the modern ones at campgrounds ;)

Yes I remember those well. Although there are a lot of childhood memories I'd like to revisit this is not one. Lol

I usually see this type of bathroom in parks. I remember even using one when I was a little kid. Good thing that portable toilet had bathroom tiles.
