Water Color IV

As in Water Color, Water Color II, and Water Color III, these lights were shot through glass while it was raining.

Water Color III

These were taken at night while it was raining. I shot through one window and zoomed in on various lights that were being reflected in other windows some distance away. By using a very slow shutter speed (1/8th handheld), throwing out the focus, and being very close to the water running down the first window, I was able to achieve these results.

Kentucky Color

The fall color seems to be occurring in stages with some trees still green, others in color, and the rest devoid of leaves already. It has been difficult to find large areas full of color at the same time. I was hoping for larger scenics, but it has been mostly individual trees. Many of the leaves developed spots before completely turning. I'm not a dendrologist or a botanist, but I wonder if it's some kind of fungus because of the rain we've had this year. Or maybe it's normal and I just haven't noticed before now.

Water Color II

These are more photos I took through the glass on another rainy night (similar to the Water Color from last month).

Double the Color

This double rainbow appeared after a recent storm. It was quite stunning in person! Since it was impossible to get the entire thing in one shot, I had to settle for a photo of each end. You can enlarge them for a little better view. I wasn't sure if the pot o' gold was at McDonalds or the water tower. Have a great weekend!
