I have to ask - is that a starling of some sort? Very nice shot love that he's sitting on top of that branch so easily.

Most people think starlings are a messy nuisance. And they can be in in mass quantities. But they are also very clever and full of personality. Plus I love their flashy outfit which you've captured so well.

Is this a European Starling? I had one at the suet feeder the other day during the snow storm. There is a flock of them around here. I wonder if they go south. The Canada geese are still around too. Have a great weekend.

This is wonderful! Such great detail...and it gives a sense of the expanses of sky that the birds truly own!
