Nice, even if it is a snake. We had one visit the other day. Actually, I suppose it wasn't visiting, but lives here. At least it is a Garter and not something deadly.
He's pretty! Nice focus on the eye. I have so many snake images to post and I think my readers will not like them! But I think they make great photo subjects.

Good spotting,they are hard to see. Used to try to catch as a kid, they are actually quite silky to touch.

We have garter snakes more in the fields. I can handle them but any bigger snakes no.

Nice picture - we saw some young snakes on our last holiday - but I think its getting bait too chilly for them to be out and about now.

Wow it's hard to get a good picture of a snake because they are usually very quick with a get-a-way. Fantastic capture and look at the intense stare.
