Let There Be Light
1/80 sec. f/6.3 ISO 1600
This little rabbit was sitting underneath a tree late in the afternoon. A thunderstorm had moved in and it started raining soon after I took the photo. Between being under the tree and the darkness of the sky, the rabbit was almost invisible to the naked eye. There was very little light where he was sitting. I turned up the ISO and lowered the shutter speed to see if I could get an acceptable result. I used a monopod to steady the lens. You can see the digital noise, particularly in the dark areas of the background. The photo has also been cropped a bit which helps magnify noise. Given the circumstances, I was very happy with the outcome. If I have a choice between increasing the ISO or missing the shot, I'll take the higher ISO and decide later if I like the photo.
