Last week I showed you some Kentucky Barns that were well maintained and primarily used for horses. This week's offering features some not-so-shiny barns that, while not in the best of shape, are still very much being used. These are typical agricultural barns.
Barn #1
Barn #2
To avoid the trees in the foreground, I had to shoot through fencing for the second photo which caused the shadows on the sides.
Barn #3
Barn #4
Barns #3 & #4
If you look in the background on the right side of the first photo, you can see one of the barns featured in last week's post.
Barn #5
Some barns do get treatment for whatever is ailing them.

Now that's a lot of barns :)now off to see last weeks barns.
some great barns there!
barn #3 is my absolute fave. love that rusty roof and tiny cupolas. but barn #4 was a close 2nd with that cool, large entry. then you put them together on one property in one shot. SOLD! :)
the plastic to repair the last barn - interesting. painting? termites?
You had me at barns! I love the pics! Great job! :o)
Now this is the type of barn I was raised in! ;D I like barn #4.
I love those textures on old barns. Very nice collection!
Love the curves that meet up with the roof on the first one, Brian. Very unique. :)
Really nice batch of old rustic barns. I like them the best!
Barns are just fascinating, no matter the condition...lovely series of barns!
Barns 4 & 5 are great looking structures.
i like #3 barn. well, used barns ... that is what i like to see ... looks like these farmers have lots going on. makes me happy to see farmers still kicking & working along in this world. (:
That's an amazing collection of barns!
All of your barns this week are so interesting and so different from the ones I see here in our county. The second one is really impressive in its length and the white boards here and there along the side. It is amazing how different they are one from the other. What a great series. genie
Some great barns this week. I like 3 & 4. Two in one!
Great series of barns! Very interesting to see all these old school barns!!
Nice series of barns and great camera work! Glad to see that last one in intensive care.
I sure enjoyed all of these...for once I don't have a favorite.
oh I love these barns...bet those walls could tell some stories...
I love old weathered barns! You found some good ones.
Nice collection of barns. You've been busy! :)
Barns #3 and 4 have a lot of character. All great shots, thanks.
Nice that you give both sides of the story, so to speak...I really love these old barns - makes you wonder how long they have stood there, and how much longer they will stand if they don't get some treatment like that last one! Lovely shots!
How many great barns! :)
well i'm an old school kinda girl so i just love all of these!
Barns with texture have so much character!
Especially like the close up shot of the barn with the hay inside the door...
The last one looks like it's being quarantined off! =0 The cupolas and weather vanes are really nice! I'm really loving that 4th barn, beautiful! However, love the rusted roof on #3. I think you could run marathons in the 2nd one & I like the looks of the peeling white wash look of the 1st! Great barns & shots for Barn Charm, thanks so much for linking up! =)
I love the old barns. Such history! Great photos.
Love those shots of #s 3 and 4...especially of the one that's open all the way through, like a gap toothed grin :)
Hey Paw...there's some guy takn pics of our properdy...

Great shots, Brian...nothing says country like a great looking old barn (thumbs up)
That second one reminds me of an old tobacco barn like we have around here...
Great barns. I love that first one, and the one that you can 'drive' through.
