Blue Ridge Mountains Scenery

Last week I spent some time traveling through the Blue Ridge Mountains. There was so much to see and take in that I only scratched the surface. It's not the first time I've visited that area, but I never grow tired of the beautiful scenery. Many of the trees and flowers weren't in bloom yet despite being the end of April and early May - I assume due to the high elevation. That aside, there was still plenty to see and photograph.

I have plenty more photos of the area I'll be sharing in future posts.

One of my very favorite places! We traveled it last September from the beginning of the Skyline Drive in Front Royal, VA all the way through to Cherokee, NC. Took us 4 days because we stopped at every overlook to take photos. What a glorious trip it was! You have given us some wonderful photos again - and jogged some very happy memories for me!

I lived in Raleigh, NC in the mid 90's and took several trips into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Of course, back then, I didn't have a decent camera. It is beautiful there and you have captured that beauty. I'll be looking forward to more.

I grew-up in NW NC. As a child we would take Sunday Drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your wonderful images brought back many fond memories. It is still a beautiful region.
