It has been years since I went through the Blue Ridge Mountains, and to be honest I don't think I saw or noticed barbed wire fences ... amazing how time tunes you in to the beauty of so many things out of the ordinary. I feel a little sad for the old horse ... looks like he could use some food. As always Brian, you take more than photographs, you tell stories with your picture. Love it ...

i like the angle of the first shot, the gnarled wire in the second, but the 4th is my fave. just beauty in its simplicity. :)

Another great series of shots, Brian. Here's what I love about each one.
1) The vine on the post. 2) The bent barbed wire. 3) the white horse. 4) the clouds and 5) the horses.
Have a great rest of Friday the 13th and a great weekend.

Like many of us, that barbed wire fence is sagging a bit...

The "ponytails" made me smile, Brian. Did you need to get their permission to post this view? :-) Love photos that capture the beauty of the commonplace as with this old fence.
