The Holdouts

What's left of the wild fruit and robin holdouts will soon be gone for the winter. I haven't seen robins in the yard for weeks, but I saw large flocks of them at the lake recently, including this one. I don't know if they were migrating through or just taking advantage of some remaining food source. Either way, it means the cold is here. And I like it.

The Robin landed on a prized tree.

I love the perspective, sharp contrast highlighting the primary and secondary subjects.

I'm not a bird person but I've been sitting here admiring and enjoying this photo.

Another excellent photo. A couple of weeks ago there were a slew of robins that came through my area. They stopped long enough to scrounge some food.

Very lovely image Brian.
We have Robins here just about the entire Winter.
There seems to be some berries that they do not take until late and those keep them fueled when everything else is gone~

Great shot, Brian.
We use to see them in our yard during their migration.

Nice with those berries. I just saw my first Florida robin so I guess they're down here now.

That's an awesome pose with the berries. Tack sharp on the robin, too.

The bright colours in this picture are great - I love the blue and red.

The garden open day was a success - but the lawn looked a little bit down trodden by late Sunday!

Very pretty shot. I love the contrast of the bright red berries against the blue of the sky and the bird is very sweet looking. We haven't had blue skies here for at least a week now.
