Oh such great shots. I have a cardinal that is teasing me by the feeder. It looks so pretty against the snow. I of course can't get a good shot. Leave it to you the bird whisperer to get the shots!
The red just jumps out at you ... I love the puffy birds of winter and then when you add the beatiful color of the Cardinal and the expertise of a great photographer ... Look what you have! Love it, Brian ...
Super shots, the Red Cardinal has such a look, as though to say " What is this stuff falling on me? How dare it do this!!" Lovely settings. Cheers from Jean
The second photo literally took my breath away. Since we don't have cardinals here, I want to say thanks for sharing. I could look at those photos all day.
Great pictures. I often wonder how much it "costs" birds to keep this kind of plumage intact. I read somewhere the these types of pigments take a huge amount of energy to produce.
I think the fence posts are a really important part of my parrot shot - the image would be nowhere near as good if the bird was on a wire fence.
well all I want to say is w-o-w, a big WOW at that! Yes there really was something else, I LOVE this bird, how striking it is with the snow happening and all, just fabulous Brian.
So THAT'S what a photo of a cardinal in the snow should look like! :-) I've been feeding and watering the birds during this cold snowy weather and the cardinals are plentiful, but they're a bit camera shy.

Excellent photos, Brian. The Cardinal looks beautiful with the falling snow!
Gorgeous cardinal and setting. Love the snowflake on his beak in the 2nd shot. I bet he's wishing he was a snowbird this year.

He's beautiful against all the white. I'm noticing the cardinals around here are exceptionally red right now. Great series!

The shots really pop! Beautiful with the snow but makes me glad I live in Florida.
Just beautiful! I miss seeing them. I don't have any around here. They used to nest right outside my window where I used to live.

The cardinals are such a vibrant red! As if they are stubbornly challenging the white chill of winter!
