I love these little birds. They make such an interesting sound. You got a great shot of this one. I have a photo on my blog with a Heron and there are some of these little birds in the photo but of course I wasn't able to get up close enough to really capture them well.

Gorgeous! You got his red eye perfectly and the markings around his neck. The ones around here are a little fidgety so it's hard to get a clear shot. Nicely done!

One of the first harbingers of spring up here. I love to hear their call when they arrive. Great capture as they are pretty fast.
Gorgeous, Brian! They are so darn cute! Happy weekend!
I love these birds. They are so funny running around.
Makes me wonder about the name...do they kill deer??? Nice shot!
crisp, clear...gorgeous!!
The bird photo is beautiful!

great shot of the plumage and red eye, and on the road, too, since they're sort of a 'road runner'. :)
What a nice shot! Just love their markings and that red-ringed eye.
Nicely composed shot!

Nice shot Brain. I always remember Killdeers as the bird that fakes the broken wing.
lovely. the depth of field effect is fantastic.
Great Picture!
have a nice weekend
Wonderful job capturing the detail of the Killdeer.
Is f/8 the sweet spot for the lens you used?
I love these funny little birds. Lovely shot.
Beautiful composition, really like the angle.
Love those little Killdees. Great capture!
beautiful Brian
Splendid shot - nice example of why its good to get a low angle on the bird.
