such a beautiful bird... but boy it can be loud... we have them around our home. i enjoy watching them but they move quickly... hope all is well. have a great day~
Nice shot.....I hate that they always want to nest next to a road. I assume it's because they want a good line of sight. We always see nests in either really short grass or next to a burnout or trail.

...waiting for some movement at the station?
I hope it doesn't nest there! We have heard a lot of killdeer calls the past week here. There is lots of bare field for them to nest now.
Waiting for a bus? Great Moon shot. I wonder why they like roads so much. I never see them anywhere else.
sometimes, not often but sometimes, i enjoy the title more then the image!!
you sure do rock the titles!!
poor little guy must have forgotten his passport ;)
Is he injured?
Ah, isn't he just a cutie!!

silly, silly bird - probably nesting right there, living on the edge, in barely a scrape of an indent in the rocks and dirt.

Great picture, I have seen one or two here this spring but have yet to get a picture of one.
I really like the low angle in this one!

I hope the nest is not too close to the road, they are cute birds! Not too bright, I would think! Have a happy day!

That is taking dangerous to the extreme. Super photo. Cheers, Jean
I'm impressed that you actually spotted him Brian. Great catch!
They're such funny birds to watch. I love your point of view here.
When I saw this picture, I was thinking - Arizona... It is an interesting point of view for sure, and I like it.
Gosh, I hope he doesn't get run over by a car. Killdeer are so darn cute! Great pic. :)
What a strange place to take a rest. I love these birds. The sound they make is really cool.
