Mallard Fuzzies

These mallard ducklings were on a lake not from from my home. The way the little ones took turns popping up looked like the duck version of Whack-A-Mole. This was the first and last time I saw them. Fortunately, I took some photos while I had the opportunity.

Thirteen ducklings! I do hope that's not an unlucky number for this sweet little mama! These photos just have "precious" written all over them. I think you should repost this for Mother's Day!

Mama Duck has her hands full, not just in numbers, but some of them seem to have ADHD. Hope they all survive, they are so sweet. What can I say about your pictures ... you outdo yourself every week.

That is a funny sequence! I had the opposite happen to a brood of day-old Muscovy Ducks on our Florida lake. One disappeared before my eyes-- permanently. A Largemouth Bass took it whole. Over the next several days the brood diminished from 11 to just 4.
