you did a great job on these! not only are they usually so shy, getting both in the shot with decent lighting so as to not blow out the stark male or blank out the dark female. LOVE the water in these shots (even the floating feather in the 2nd shot).
Nice shots of the Hoodies. We had several Red-breasted Mergansers that hunted cooperatively along the margins of our back yard lake. They moved in a wedge that herded the fish to the shoreline.

I tried yesterday to catch good shots of a pair yesterday but they would swim away every time I got near them! Beautiful shots!
