I took all these photos on the same day this month. Some of the trees were showing buds and the birds were spring singing. But looks can be deceiving. While the little birds were enjoying the blue sky, the waterfowl were dealing with ice. By the way, if anyone can help identify the bird in the second photo, it would be appreciated. I believe it to be a warbler of some kind.

Hi Brian...I know absolutely nothing about identifying birds, but I did see a photo of a Philadelphia Vireo that looks very similar. Maybe someone will correctly identify it. As usual, lovely photos...
Fabulous photos!
I'm pretty sure that bird is a yellow-rumpled warbler, or butter butt as they're affectionately known as. :) Lovely bird shots you've captured.
Btw, this did not show up in my feed. :(
Beautiful birds and photos, Brian! Gail is right on about the Yellow Rump Warbler. A very cute bird! have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
Super-duper captures Brian. Cardinals are a fav of mine- love this one.
I agree- the warbler is a butter-butt ~:>)

wonderful shots!!! I love the shots of the waterfowl dealing with the ice...especially the last one!!! An unusual perspective with the negative space on the bottom like that!!!
Oh no, they're walkin on water! hehehe
poor things... beautiful captures =)
Beautiful shots!
"my" pond has finally thawed...but there are still hints of snow on the ground...I'm enjoying the buds and the birds, and waiting for the temps to rise!
The cardinal is stunning but the goose curling his toes caught my eye and made me smile.
