What a lovely find, Brian! I do keep a list as I note where they are photographed and add locations if I manage to find them in a new place. Lifers are always a nice feeling. :)
A small group of Horned Grebes landed on our lake a few years ago. I took a picture but they were too far away to get a really good shot (like yours), but I was still thrilled that I had even seen them. I haven't seen one since until today. So cool, Brian ... really love your photography.
Yeah, awesome bird, awesome images, congrats. I have photographed a few species this past 2 weeks, but they were really out a good way, will share soon~

He's very handsome! Love the red eyes and touch of red on the side of his bill.
That is definitely a new-to-me bird.
I've been seeing the pied-billed grebe a lot lately, but haven't had the pleasure of seeing the horned. What a sensational set, Brian! He's a beauty.

Apart from the head, it is very like a Little Grebe. I really enjoy all your pictures. From Findlay
