...you're the early bird for World Bird Wednesday Brian :). I love the duck photographs; each so clear and seemingly up close; great reflections.

Looks like he/she is ice skating! Love the reflection in the last photo.

Stunning photos, the reflections off the ice are really crisp! Are you using a big stopper on your lens to rid the glare?

The clarity is alomst surreal Brian, The pictures show more detail than if your observed one in the wild (or local park) imo...beautiful work bud

he or she is just beautiful. your photos make her seem so gentle and curious, and maybe a bit confused by the ice. really sweet shots.

Great shots of the ice skating goose Brian. The reflections are super and the tentativeness of the bird shows through.

A great series of photos and I always enjoy watching birds on ice - it really doesn't seem like their natural environment!

Hi there - as a lot of people have said (more or less) I think it’s the reflections that make these pictures.

Splendid.

Brian, these are truly brilliant shots!! I love the antics you have captured and those reflections are amazing. It's almost as if he is checking himself out in the mirror.
Classic shots and so crisp.

You captured some awesome reflections here!

The reflections are wonderful!
You have to wonder what thoughts were going through its mind looking down. I imagine some kind of 'ice, ice under my feet who's the goose that I should meet.' :)
Excellent series!

Fabulous shots. Either it is narcissistic or trying to work out what the other fellow is doing under the ice or is it just trying to keep it's footing?

You caught the action beautifully - the slippery surface, the cautious steps, then finally some water in sight.
