This giant storm formed over the course of half an hour. According to the weather service, it reached a height 55,000 feet and would eventually collapse releasing a torrent of rain. Photos of this huge system were taken from all over the region.
A couple of wild turkeys took an afternoon stroll through my brother's backyard while we were there on vacation. They definitely aren't what I'd call handsome up close, but during spring mating season they are rather impressive in full strut.
These are some of the many photos I took a few months ago, but simply didn't have time to post. As you can tell by the leaf buds, these are from late winter/early spring. I like to try to stay current with my photos, but sometimes it's just impossible to get them all in before seasons change.
