A TORCON 9 Sky

A week ago today (March 2), we had some very strong storms move through the state. Included in those storms were several tornadoes. My area of Kentucky was in TORCON 9 (Tornado Condition Index). When the storms reached us, the tornado sirens did go off, but fortunately, a tornado never touched down. Other parts of the state were not so lucky. These are photos I took after the brunt of the storm passed and the clouds were getting ready to break.

Double the Color

This double rainbow appeared after a recent storm. It was quite stunning in person! Since it was impossible to get the entire thing in one shot, I had to settle for a photo of each end. You can enlarge them for a little better view. I wasn't sure if the pot o' gold was at McDonalds or the water tower. Have a great weekend!
