What a fine nature shot. That fail is definitely a work of art. Not until you see macro close ups of these little guys do you see just how beautiful they are. The capture turned out so well in black and white. You are so good at this. genie

Great shot ........ my pastures are full of ground squirrel holes, wish I had tree squirrels instead ... oh yeah, I would need trees for them, guess that's why I am overrun with ground squirrels.

This works really well for black and white. Love the title. He posed in such a way that you didn't have to worry about a modesty patch. lol

Nice shot! Love it in b&w, something I've not quite mastered ... when it would look good and when it wouldn't. To think there was a time that was all we had! I have a whole new appreciation for Ansel Adams.

Love this photo and the shades of grey. Great shot!

do you find that b&w tend to be faulty tho? i mean, the real b&w film use to make the photo interesting. now digital b&w are blurry where they shouldn't be, ya know?

i love your subject matter?

perhaps I am tired of b&w?

Have to ask, Brian--have you read "Shades of Gray" or just having a little fun with the current craze? The latter I suspect. :-) Regardless, an apt post title. And love how you've captured the texture of his fur.
