Killer Yellow

1/1000 sec. f/9 ISO 400

Great Blue Heron
Linking to Wild Bird Wednesday

Today's Tip:
It's very important to keep the lens mount opening on your camera body covered as much as possible to prevent dust and dirt from getting on the sensor which will then show up in your photos. Try to avoid changing lenses in dusty environments and always keep a lens or body cap on the camera.

Wow, the intensity of his look and the yellow eye ... so striking. I hope you weren't too close to this killer yellow eyed Heron ... he could do some damage with that beak. Great shot as always.

Beautiful capture. Love that yellow eye! No matter what, photographing the bean harvest leaves my camera a dusty mess. I need to send it in for a proper cleaning now that harvest is nearly over.
