Sniper

1/160 sec. f/8 ISO 100

While at my favorite heron lake early one morning, I spied these two fellow photogs on the other side of the lake. I had never seen them before. It's actually rare to see other photographers at this lake and even rarer to see big lenses. I was standing among some trees on the shoreline where it would have been difficult for these two to see me. I couldn't help but play camera sniper for a moment.

Monopods, huge lenses, and lovely colours. Guess it was a bit cold, looking at their winter hats and jackets. Super shot, I thought by your words there might be a rifle or pistol lined up, but just a Canon!!! ( or maybe a Nikon)Cheers from Jean

Birdwatcher watching (well sort of!)

Glad to provide pictures of birds you have not seen - which is what you do for me most of the time!

Just found out I will be in Arizona for about a week at the end of the month - so I may get to see some of your birds in the feather rather than the pixel.

Cool shot with the yellow field in the background. Those are big lens- I would be curious who those chaps were! But I'm the nosy type. LOL!

I like the yellow background, also, Brian. Nice shot. I bet you felt like a real spy, huh. :)

That lens on the right is enormous! I wonder what focal length that is? I notice they're both using monopods which I never have good success with.
