Good Bison

1/320 sec. f/11 ISO 500

American Bison
Linking to Good Fences

If good fences make good neighbors, it stands to reason good bison fences make for good bison. Or at least less cranky bison.

Gotta be sturdy fences for bison. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be caught in a bison stampede? Maybe I watched too many westerns when I was a kid.

Have to have a strong fence for them. Great shots.

Wow shots! Is this a bison park? I've not seen them in a protected spot before, only out wild in the national parks. I wonder if that fence is strong enough- those bison look mighty strong!
Thanks for info on your tip mag- I need all the help I can find!

You need a good strong fence for those guys!

That really IS a good fence. The posts put close together and the heavy wire should keep those beautiful bison contained. Great photos!

Love your Bison photos. There are some in an enclosure over at Fort Peck, but they aren't always close enough for good photos.

Your bison look better contained than the ones in my fence shot! Magnificent beasts aren't they!

Or for sure the fences will keep the people watching happier! Lovely bison. Thanks for sharing. I'm almost afraid to say I'll look for the link to your magazine. Because I am afraid you'll do a test to see if I get any better ;>) Seriously, what a very nice thing for you to do.

Nice shots of the furry beasties.
Thanks for the tip on the magazine. I could spend all day in there.

Great shots of the bison Brian. I understand they are a little crankier than other beasts. One of hubby's cousins has a herd in North Dakota and we have heard the tales :)
Thanks for the tip on the magazine. I will check that out.

Those bison are so beautiful! Magnificent creatures. I was using Flipboard until I found Zite--that one I seem to use more these days.

Now that is one strong looking fence! Good thing, too...those are some strong looking bison!

We see a lot of Buffalo out in Colorado. Guess I have never given the fences a second look. They are so strong..makes sense that they would need a strong fence.

Love Flipboard.

You fences look quite a bit more substantial than one of the other contributors; they are beautiful animals.

Thanks for the flipboard link

I have one photo of bison; I should have added it today but next time. Yours are great and close up; mine were far away with them walking in the snow.

Nice shots!! Reminds me of the preserve in Alaska for wild animals that have been hurt and can't live in the wild...
