Fur At The Feeder
Earlier this month, I posted Feathers At The Feeder which showed the various birds visiting our backyard feeders. Well, not surprisingly, birds aren't the only ones dining on the sunflower seeds and suet. It started with one squirrel, then there were two tree rats, and now it's up to three. The main feeder may get a baffle before winter is over. (Eastern Gray Squirrel - Sciurus carolinensis)

those are the most fabulous photographs; gosh I don't think I've seen an ugly-squirrel photo yet! You couldn't go wrong...
Great set of shots.
they're just so stinkin' cute!!!
i have that same 6-sided feeder (but mine's hanging). if my squirrels would sit in it and look that adorable, i might put it on the ground, too. :)
i like the new background and fonts.
Such adorable shots!
such beautiful shots of an adorable little guy!
glad to see this!
great post!
Squirrels are such cute subjects and your photos are wonderful.
Fiendishly cute and devilishly clever. Great shots! Ours have been in a battle under our feeder. One battle was so intense that the looser limped away with a hurt leg. You'd like to feel sorry but...
Great shots of that little cutie. They are so much fun to watch.
You make him look absolutely adorable.
Great capture! The squirrels are just adorable! He looks to be enjoying himself are well
Great shots of these cute little guys! They do take over, though!
oh my I love all your pictures of squirrels here. so clear, glossy and close up shot.
Cute captures of the squirrels. They do take over the feeders and make pigs of themselves. I enjoyed them all, have a great weekend!
Love your squirrel photos. I've got a series of squirrel photos too.
having squirrels at the feeder is like a three ringed circus...great shots...
Beautifully captured!
Love is in the air with Champ and Ruby, come and see.
Great shots - I just love squirrels, they're so adventurous!
Such smart little thieves :D!
Lovely photos :)
I know they are "cute" but they sure do wreck the bird feeders. Great shots BJK.
Hi, from England, found your site through my friend Marc's blog. Perhaps you could take a peek at my blog The Broadstairs Birder.Best Wishes Phil.
Great shots! You have to admire their tenacity...even while you are aggravated at their thievery!
We camped a lot in Frankfort, at Elkhorn Creek. Loved the area, and used it as our jumping off point for the KY Bourbon Trail! Loved that too!
They are little piggies at the feeder, aren't they?
these guys are just amazing
At my last house, the squirrels were so plentiful that it was difficult to keep a bird feeder, because they (the squirrels) would empty a full feeder in a day.
We are in a new neighborhood at my current house, so no one has a tree with more than a 3-inch diameter trunk right now, which means both birds and squirrels are very scarce. Tried to set up a bird bath in my back yard, but the dog scares away the blackbirds, which are the only thing that tried to use it.
Makes me almost miss the squirrels - they were better than nothing!
