ps what size are your pics? mine are 800x600 & these are larger than that... are they maybe 1024x768? WoW! this is where the eyes bug out of the skull! LoL! =)
Tornado or new way of adding ventilation to the barn. So sad to see that much damage.
so glad I got picture of local barn I posted couple months ago on my blog, drove by on Mother's Day and one side was damaged by wind storm, need to go back and take new pictures.
The barns in your part of the world succumb to wind and rot. Around here deep snow breaks their backs and puts them down. Still, weathered wood is just picturesque in almost any form.
I'm looking at all the wooden lath work over the rafters. A lot of time was spent making that old barn. Sad to see it crumbling. That's some big time movable advertising. :)
In my crazy mind, when I first saw the barn and sign, I was thinking about airplane "hangars". To me it looked like one plane slightly missed the runway! Your photos continue to amaze me.

You and your barns. This must be the barn capital of the world!
Interesting billboard on the side of a truck! Hope it doesn't live in that barn! Great eye to catch that...
ooops, a slight mishap; some windy weather?
I like the new look of your blog Brian. That barn looks like it has seen better days for sure. Happy Monday, Happy Week~
They obviously didn't spend the revenue from the ad on the barn! ;)
That barn needs some TLC.
looks like it was hit by a tornado or something, poor thing!
YiKeS! I think this one must have gone a round or two w/ a tornado or maybe straight line winds... Beautiful barn, tho, even wind-blown!
Thank you for joining =)

i love how the front wall still stands straight and tall. :)
the light background is a nice change, too.

I don't think it will survive another wind storm. Great photos!
Looks like SOMEthing ripped through the area, huh?!
Pearl
It's seen better days!
ooohhhh so sad, it looks like it was an awesome working barn it the past!!
you didn't try hangers??
I see we're all thinking weather damage. Were you tempted to try to find Hanger's Restaurant to see if it fared better? :-)
Slightly surreal juxtapositioning! Fun barn capture, for sure...
Yikes. It looks like a tornado ripped apart the barn or maybe the Astronaut Farmer lives there. :)
Oh oh! This barn's days are numbered, that's for sure.

It's definately seen better days... would be good to find out the cause of the damage.
So funny! I hope so too!
My, that's a good sized barn. What a fun shot...love the caption.
Oh my- that one looks like it got hit by a strong downdraft!
Tornado damage. or just old age. Wonder what wonderful animals called this a one time home.
Oh that poor barn!
Wonder what happened to this barn? I love the billboard on the truck - perfect placement!

I wonder if this is just falling apart or was it damaged in some bad weather???
Looks like it saw a bit on wind...
Nice! Gotta admire the thinking of the ad guys--get your attention with that huge dilapidated barn and get a plug in for the restaurant.
How can you manage to get such great shots from a moving vehicle!

Poor barn. Very nice drive by! My drive by shots rarely turn out this clear.

Drive-by photography always make it more challenging. Great shot of the barn. So sad to see it falling apart.
it's always a shame to see these once grand structures coming down.
It is sad to see old buildings in disrepair. But, like people, they did a good job and now it's time to retire.
My first thought was that a plane crashed into the barn after it took off the top of the silo. A bit of irony that the ad is for Hanger's.
Even though it is falling apart, it made a great photo.
