Very nice photo. We have sapsuckers here and they are ruining my crabapple tree. If I could get such a good photo of them, I would at least be getting something out of the deal.
It's funny that you have this guy on here today. I was just talking with a friend about yellow-bellied sapsuckers because he had one on his suet feeder. That is a beautiful bird!

Dang you've got good eyes...I would have missed this one. He's blended so perfectly with that tree. Awesome!
He does blend well with the surroundings. Beautiful. Looks like he has been doing some sapsucking.
very cool
Lovely shot Brian
Sweet. Love the specks of wood of its bill.
You got him! This is what I was trying to photograph at the state park this weekend and failed. Glad you got it! Wonderful shot!
Great capture!
Great catch and good eyes. Blends in well and I am guessing like most is also very fast whipping around the tree.
oh what a shot... look at those itty bitty claws gripping the bark! =0
awesome shot! love his damp chest showing off some darkened plumage and the 'sawdust' on his beak!
Magnificent!

such detail in the feathers, good job.
A great looking bird. From Findlay
You really do a good job "capturing" birds. Very crisp detail...with bokeh in the foreground and background...really well done!
A great shot Brian,
Double wow, I love your new header and amazing capture of the lovely Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
Nicely done, Brian.
He looks like he has sawdust on his beak. :) Great shot.
