Incredible shots Brian.

The second has a wonderful billowing movement which is very atmospheric.

Hi there - I think both pictures benefit from the other objects in them - trees, birds, even the power lines. Nice pictures.

Gorgeous shots! That sky just looks HOT! As Stewart said, even the power lines add to that first one - you caught the sun in just the right place. Beautiful!

So is that straight out of camera or did you use some orange filter effects? Either way it looks cool---er--hot.

it really does resemble a fire in the sky!!

the first shot is fantastic, one i would not have taken beacause of the power lines and they really do work perfectly!!

Wow. What colour in the sunset! When we get a sky like the bottom photo I call it 'lasagna sky' because that's what it reminds me of. :) Enjoy the weekend. Pamela

Wonderful fiery skies! The tower and power lines are perfect -- perhaps one of the few times one does not need to clone out --

Incredible color!

Wonderful hues of orange. They certainly do remind one of fire! Normally, I hate electrical lines interfering with my sky, but this really works! Adds a graphic element, I think.

Stunning! - Both shots are just alive with wonderful vibrant color. I like the contrast of the power lines and all those birds in the sky in your first shot.

Wow! Fantastic shots, Brian! This is such a rich, deep orange. Love it! I also used to enter in with Skywatch Friday but because it falls on the same day as Fridays Fences that makes it hard for me! Plus all winter and spring we didn't have a lot in the way of interesting skies....now this summer things have changed! Maybe I will join in once or twice while I still have some good shots! :-)

Is that a sunset?? or is the sky on fire? Beautiful colors!
