Nice shot Brian!
oh yes, great photo opportunity and good everything, lighting and clarity. Great photographer!
His cooperation gave you a beautiful photo.
This heron does not look anything like the one that taunts me by flying up and down our creek never allowing me time to catch a shot. It is a beautiful one. Like the green in contrast tot he blue I see. genie
Herons are so beautiful. TOmorrow the roe hunt starts with our dogs...I´m very excited already...
Great post and photo. I love the Green heron, one of my favorites.

Well worth the wait Brian, lovely shot.
Awesome capture Brian!
Another WOW! The colors are so vibrant. Love those little blue pools in the water.
I've been stalking a blue heron. So far he has not been as cooperative.

Oh He's a Beauty!!!
Great shot! Gorgeous colours :) You didn't happen to get a shot of it extending its neck, did you..?! (I had to look up the Green Heron 'cause I was wondering how it got its name, and I saw some photos of Green Herons extending their necks; awesome!)
Great shot! Welcome back. I hope you have a great week.
Finally, a post! And a great one at that. Good to see you again. The green heron can be so difficult to capture, but you nailed this shot. The perfect pose on the perfect log against the perfect backdrop.
Glad your back, Brian! Have missed your daily photos. Glad this heron decided to rest on the stump so you could get this beautiful shot!
Nice? Not even, that is framing material! Exceptional and I sure love those little buggers.
Stunning pic Brian :-)

Beautifully captured! That stump makes a great perch!!
Always, always the detail in your bird photos is amazing. It's great to see the colors and parts of creatures that are usually so far away and move so quickly.
Beautiful, perfect detail, the stump just right in the water.Love the swirly effect.Greetings from Jean
