Tree Mouse

I suppose if we refer to squirrels as "tree rats" then a chipmunk up a tree could be called a tree mouse?

It's only within the last few years the chipmunks have been showing up in my neighbourhood. Around here they are ground creatures and I haven't seen any in trees.

Haha, I had to think about that title, and then I saw;) CUTE! I am thinking that between the Red-Shouldered Hawks and the Cooper's Hawks, our large Chipmunk count is going down a bit~

Awwww, how sweet. We only have the tree rats in my yard. The "mice" are in the forest. A terrific shot Brian.

Love the light in this shot - and how the tree is naturally framing his little face!

Aw they are cute, hopefully not as destructive as tree rats?

Cute tree mouse! They are much better than the tree rats! Great shot, happy weekend!

Too cute!!! Why is it that a bushy tail on a squirrel or those cute stripes on the chipmunks totally transform them from...eeeeeuuuuuwwww...rodents...to.....ohhhh, such cute squirrels or chipmunks!!!???!!!

Lovely lighting, the leaves, and even the bristles on his tail stand out. One great shot. Cheers from Jean

My "tree mice" come up on the front stoop and quarrel with the birds over peanuts and bread chunks. They are rather endearing despite some ratlike features.

I've always seen chipmunks in the southern part of the state and haven't seen very many of them since moving to your area. Rare to see in a tree. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. You have such a great eye. enJOYed the shot.

Hey Brian - been a while since I last wrote. I'm trying to get back into the blogging world and, coincidently, I'm doing it with photos. I finally got a camera (sorry - its a Nikon)and am learning how to use it. I'll be posting pretty frequently, I think. I really like the Photo Link-Up you talk about.

keep up the great work - I may be emailing you for tips and ideas!
