Canada Fuzzies

While visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains recently, I had the opportunity to photograph these Canada Goose goslings. The photos were taken over several days at two different lakes and of two different flocks.

These are simply stunning photos, Brian! I am always awed by your photography - you manage to capture the absolute best shots - but I am sure you spend plenty of time waiting patiently for those shots! Just wonderful today!

had to go thru these a couple of times. just fantastic. definitely gave me warm fuzzies. :) i don't think they could be any cuter! love the ones w/ a parent standing near a young one - the parent bending down near the single gosling is my #1.

and i really like your new header! :)

I guess I could "ditto" all the above comments! These are just the best close ups pics of these little fuzzy goslings! I see some nearby here so must go and check if the babies are hatched. Have a great week!

So very adorable! Love their fuzzy little bums ;)

Canadian geese frequent Finland, as well...I just wish the Finns would stop hinting that since I'm from Canada, I'm somehow responsible for the fact that the birds sh*t so much, making a mess of the public parks! LOL!

Ah those are precious. I am surprised the parents allowed you to get so close, or you had a pretty strong lens at work.

Big "tug at your heart" cute! I love the one where all of the babies are huddled together.

Wonderful images Brian... they so cute. It's hard to believe but they oil the eggs (it makes them infertile) to reduce the numbers on my little patch and a cull of the adult birds is taking place in the Lake District.

BJK doing the warm and fuzzy?
Great shots Brian.
I know you only publish the creme de la creme, I'm just wondering how many C.goose shots you took in those two days?
Yeah, we Michigan boys will stop at nothing to get the job done correctly.
Cheers!

Gorgeous, all of them either singly or a whole kindergarden full. So fluffy and cuddly, yet already so independent. Cuteness personified!

Oh they're so darling. That one little one with his mouth open "Feed Me" -- is just adorable. I have a love-hate relationship with Canada Geese, but this post has definitely tipped me way over to the 'love' side. I do hope we see some babies when we get back to Oregon (where we either get or have to live with them!)
