Sleepy Hollow Dove

1/400 sec. f/8 ISO 200

This dove was preening its back feathers giving it the appearance of being headless. I just thought it was too cool! Plus, it gives new meaning to minimalism.

Haha, the headless dove. Perfect Halloween post. I am always drawn to lots of negative space in photography. This is a great example of that.

New meaning to minimalism, indeed. Fun shot! Wish I could sleep like that.

HI Brian Well if it a Mourning Dove, I would expect its head to be bowed!!!

Doves are kind of minimal in appearance anyway, aren't they? I get what you're seeing in this composition for sure. Sometimes our eyes need a rest from a lot of busy details in our photos. A hard lesson to learn.
