Love these guys - never knew what they were, or that they were bad...but I think they're very photogenic! LOVE that first shot for the "expression" and the second for all the nuanced color!
They are not fondly look upon here, they devour feeders within minutes. Beautiful capture of this despised bird. The feathers remind me of a porcupine.
Great shots! The details are amazing! I know everyone hates them, and they are transplants that have upended our world, but many years ago I read a book called Arnie the Darling Starling about a woman who raised a chick that fell out of a nest. The bird was amazingly intelligent, and just too darn cute! It made me feel so badly that his kind has such a bad reputation.
