Odd how the gray background actually compliments the black/white of the bird. enJOYed the shot.

A great bird for doing in B&W - what a great idea, and the perfect shot for it!

A lovely portrait of the Starling Brian. For the first time in ages we had one on the deck this morning.

Black and white really allows one to focus on just how beautiful this little bird is. Great capture and processing.

Our nature preserve has a rehabilitated starling that roams around the welcome center and he's so sweet. Apparently, he imprinted on humans right away since he was saved as a fledgling. It's neat that we can get up close and see his beautiful markings and colors. This looks surprisingly good in b&w!
