I don't think I've ever seen a girl cardinal and wow, I'm liking her as much or better than the boy. Whoda thought. Love the iridescence on the grackle but frankly, I totally enjoyed all of these shots. It has been so windy here (think 70 mph) that my feeders have been vacant.
They are all beautiful and expertly photographed. Except for the titmouse, I have the same castoff characters in my yard. Adore the sheen and colors on the grackle.
You posted this at 5AM ... don't you sleep? Anyway, I am glad you did because these are all beautiful pictures and all are birds we have in our area. Thank you for the Spring refresher ...
I think it's time you start working on a Brian's wildlife photos coffeetable sized book, Brian! (or, have you already?) Your photos are so clean and true w/o a lot of fiddling--just a pleasure to study.
You just identified another bird for me. White-throated sparrow! I was wondering what that was. I just took a pic of one, and noticed the yellow around it's eyes. Gorgeous photo's!

love the opening pair and the closing pair. and that gorgeous iridescent grackle in all his peacockery!
What a great batch of birds! Tremendous photos! I love how you captured the iridescence of the grackle's feathers. He looks so handsome.
A beautiful cast of characters!
You've been out shooting the little songbirds again. Nice work.
Now that is a super selection Brian.
All such beauties. The tufted titmouse is one I have never seen except in photos. I may have to travel to capture one with my camera. :)
Aren't they all beautiful!!! Love the cardinals! You have so many more birds out and about than we do here...
Brian, what a great variety! Beautiful birds and wonderful photos!
Your pictures are always stunning! I have still been seeing quite a few cardinals around here, which is unusual this late in the spring.
Great close-up photos of all those beautiful birds.
A wonderful series Brian..
Great photos, lovely to study every one!
Well done!
