Water Color IV

As in Water Color, Water Color II, and Water Color III, these lights were shot through glass while it was raining.

wow, some great effects there Brian; all done with your camera settings?

I love, I mean L-O-V-E love, these!

Great shots and I always envision them enlarged, framed with smooth bright white mats and subtle black frames hanging on the wall in some fancy New Yorker's high rise apartment. They're just sooooo goood!

my favorite is the 3rd - the soft colors are just perfect. the last 'sparkler' effect is great, too! but the 4th and 5th made me think of little pacman aliens all lined up, making faces. :)

and i agree with kmurray's comment. totally frameable works of art. :)

Very abstract looking, how simple everyday scenarios sometime produce the best images.
Absolutely awesome work

Thanks, Carole! It's not the camera settings, but the focus that causes the effect. I focus on the rain drops which are very close and that causes the lights to blur and become round. You have to focus manually to make it work.

I appreciate that, Kari! I'm not fancy and I'm not a New Yorker so we'll just have to call it Kentucky "common man" art. It makes my day to see your smiling face!
