...nothin' could be finer than to be in Carolina (came to mind). What a beautiful bird; fabulous photos. Your Mum's birthday on the 20th? I'm her birthday twin then! :)
What a beautiful way to say Happy Birthday to your Mom, BJ.. these are gorgeous shots of the Carolina chickadee.
Very cute! I wonder what the difference is between the Carolina and the Black capped Chickadee that we are more familiar with. I am going to look that up right now. Happy birthday to your mother!
What a cutie! I would have a hard time recognizing a Carolina from a Black-capped usless they were sitting beside each other singing a duet.
Happy Birthday to your Mom!
Beautiful shots Brian...and Happy Birthday to your Mom from my crew too!
such a sweet little bird! not sure if we get 'em here. happy birthday, brian's mom! (my mother's name was Caroline).
p.s. your header is STUNNING! and so perfect for your blog! the GBH is almost your signature bird. :)
My sincere admiration. Chickadees just don't hold still and pose. Plus your header photo of the heron is superb.
Gorgeous shots! The header photo is gorgeous too.Happy birthday to your mom.
Beautiful details! I haven't seen this guy in the wild yet.
I'm a fairly new birder, having always been more fond of the furry type of animals...and I'm interested in knowing how you know this is a Carolina? I'm sure there are minute differences in plumage? I guess we dont have them here in NY...do you not have BCCHs?
Those are excellent photos Brian! Very lovely little bird. Happy bday to your mom as well:)
aww you are a good son....what a sweet bird...
Wonderful capture of the Chickadee, they are beautiful photos. How nice to wish your mom a Happy Birthday, I hope she had a great one.
