Mush Mouth

Recently, a small flock of finches appeared in the backyard and spent two days munching on the berries in one of the trees. To say they were messy eaters would be accurate. After a couple of days, the finches disappeared as quickly as they arrived.

Oh my goodness! I just want to take a napkin and clean off their faces. We see finches every day and I've never seen this kind of mess, but we don't have berries yet. Brilliant details in these captures.

Brian, your pictures are always good for a laugh ... something we all need to do now and then. I think Mama Finch forgot to teach table manners. My finch are busy eating the sunflower seeds and the mess they make is not on thier little faces, but on my, what was once, clean deck. Oh well, we can't be picky ... they are lovely little birds and I am greatful thay they come to see us. Smiles ...

Great shots, Brian.

We had finches in our yard a few months ago when the mulberries were ripe and I can attest to them being messy eaters. :)
