Thats a really nice image - the mix of light and shade must have been a bit of a challenge.

Thanks for the multiple comments - busy week over, now to empty the inbox!

Great capture Brian! Good thing the Greenie stepped out of the shadow; great lighting! Nice to see one so out in the open!

What a great shot! I am still waiting to see one in the wild. Dan photographed a pair at his sister's house in MO summer before this one, but they were in a tree and pretty hard to see. I never got to see them at all! This is a wonderful capture!

love that you caught him in step mode, but the way he slices right down the middle of dark and light makes this shot fascinating. perfection in timing and skill.

Was he practicing dance steps to Me and My Shadow? :)

He looks to be up on a walkway? Those little guys are really cute and love the yellow legs.

I like the different lines in this photo - the horizontal boards and the slanted lines in the bird. Great shot!

Great shot. I love how the shadow lines right up along the bird, so cool.

Perfection!!!

You even got him in mid-step. I think it's striking how the right side of the photo is dark and the left side is light, with the bird's shadow casting that narrow strip of darkness. Beautifully done!

That's a new one for me. Can't say I've seen one. With that foot in mid air, it looks like its sneakin up on something. Did you get a picture of my sweet BIG Red at the football game?
