Nice shots- all! You must be exceptionally quiet while taking photos. I would have definitely scared him off bumbling around trying to get the shot. These are awesome!

I love green herons (or any herons)..but we don't see the green ones until we go to Florida for the winter (guess they don't live in this part of Oregon)....Your pictures (as always) are just amazing.
