These are great looking birds - I have only seen them once - and I was in a moving car at the time!!

My daughter and I found another big mantis in the garden yesterday - but it shot off before I could get any pictures.

Great shot, Brian. It almost looks more like the "Bronzed Grackle" we had back in Texas and New Mexico rather than our Florida "Purple Grackles."
