Wonderful series, Brian! I spy dinner, the heron says! Have a great day!
Keen eyes! Nice shots Brian.
I spy an Alfalfa hair do! Great shots I love the intensity in the herons face.
Fabulous lighting and clarity. Are his/her brows are furrowed in that last shot as compared to the first? Seriously good photography going on here.
Such a beauty and so many great poses. They certainly are patient hunters. Really amazing photography. :)
So did he get what he was headed for? I love the first shot with his feathers in the wind....kind of a "punk do".
i was hoping those feathers (hairs) would stay curled all the way through, but his speedy take-off straightened them out. :) love the clarity of focus on his eye!huge smile! :D
Wonderful series of shots, Brian! I love those curled feathers on his head and the intent look in the eye.
These heron shots are extraordinary. They are such elegant birds.
OMG! These are fabulous! Love the curly feathers in the first few.
Sooooooooooo lovley ,Nette
Perfection! That dude is definitely on my photog bucket list. Herons are literally in our back yard here (well, behind our barn on the pond). But they're so paranoid, and I'm slow! lol. Great shots.. thanks for sharing! -Tammy
A wonderful serie of photos of this great heron!
Well, these photos made me smile wide. Your heron photos have such character!
A great serie of photos.
this one was really posing for you I think. Perfect shots and I like the "hairstyle"
Beautifully captured, love the tuft of hair on his head. Have a nice day.
They're all masterpieces!! Love the GBHs, I do!!
again, just more of your fantastic photographic moments Brian; love these too. Beautiful profile of a handsome heron; wonderful clarity.
Lovely images Brian...
Wow! Those are fabulous photos! Loved them!
Very nice and no distracting background either!
Gosh, such a character! Truly worthy of some Disney creature copy-cat...Harry the Heron maybe? great captures!!
I bet the next shot was of him eating his dinner! Great close up shots of the Heron.
Looks like a grumpy old man! Fascinating that you can shoot fast enough to capture all these different postures, Brian. And, of course, that lift off was such a dramatic finish.
Very nice sequence - the 'soft tones' on the Great Crested Grebe are causes by very poor light! Although maybe it was not so poor after all.Cheers and thanks for linking to WBWStewart M - Melbourne
Great series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Wow! Your heron pictures are always awesome!
Terrific sequence, Brian! Your photography is masterful.
