...a handsome wader, looking a little chilly?
A great shot of another of our fine feathered friends. Wonder what he is thinking....he looks so fine standing there surveying the world around him.
This bird looks COLD! Great shot Brian.
Ah, the killdeer cry has gone south for the winter and it's one of the first harbingers of spring up here. One I love to hear before I ever see the bird.
poor baby, he's probably dreaming of warmer locales! beautiful shot!
We have the Killdeer here as well. They're just bright-eyed! Lovely photo, Brian.
beautiful photo!!! really gorgeous pic of the killdeer.
Pin sharp Brian, lovely lighting and pose, great overall image of this smart wader
That's a bird I don't see often around here any more. It's a terrific shot!
Just look at those eyes!! You've created a masterful image Brian. Well done.
Very nice photographed.....good composition and sharpness Brian.Greetings, Joop
I love the killdeer with those big eyes. Amazing how their feathers mimic the rocks. Beautiful portrait!
AH! So that's where out killdeer have gone!
Looking forward to one or two pairs nesting along our gravel road within the next couple of months..
The Kildeer is a favorite of mine. We have them all around us but I see them mostly in the reserve along the road by the small rain ponds. They blend in so well, it is easy to miss them. I also enjoy their antics if you come near their nest. I enjoyed this wonderful picture, Brian, becasue it is winter and our Kildeer are all gone.Andrea @ From The Sol
This is a great shot! The killdeer are so hard to get a close shot.
Love the cute Killdeer! Beautiful capture, Brian!
Nice shot and composition!
Such pretty birds and you got a stunning image there Brian. My husby calls Canada Geese ducks and he calls Killdeer Plovers every time...I am thinking he knows better ;)
Sweet little wader!
i don't think i have ever seen one. whom ever designed his outfit did an excellent job...a very nice flow to the colors/feathers!!
This is so sharp and clear--beautiful! I love seeing her eyes.
This one is little beauty. Spectacular image.
Beautiful shot Brain. I like the way Killdeer fake the broken wing to lure you away from the hiding spot of the nest.
Hi Brian. lovely looking bird. Looks a bit like our Ringed Plover.
Beautiful angle on this one. They a so small and I bet it was hard to get the shot. But you did a fantastic job, especially with the focus!
Stunning picture. I love these little guys which we see in Florida and back in Oregon....but I never tire of them.
Love the soft reflections in the water!!!
