Very nice...at least this old charmer is being used to store hay!

When looking at the black and white, my first thoughts were, "cooler weather". I wonder if the barn is still in use. It looks like there is still a well-used road leading up to it. As always, your photography is outstanding....

An old barn with fresh tracks.

I think black and white makes us pay a bit more attention to composition and you hit it right on the head here. Great job!

i like the eerie feel to the first two, but the hay bales put a good feeling into the 3rd. :)

I was thinking a different "b & w" before opening this post, Brian. What a great choice for this particular barn--emphasizes that bold roofline, the weathered and ageing structure. Looks like it still has a bit of use left in it?

Beautiful black and white shots!

I like the different views you gave of this barn, from a distance gradually getting closer. And it's wonderful in b&w!

Black and White is perfect for these! I actually like the first and third best...the first gives a feeling of loneliness and isolation, the last emphasizes the rustic age of the building...

I see fresh tire tracks, are they yours?

Beautiful place, I love the black and white!

really liking the composition of the first one, giving some interest in the foreground / empty space. Really excellent work.

I love all three of these, but I think I like the last the best. I like that peek inside at all the hay.

Nicely done in black and white Brian. I didn't notice the hay bales until the closeup shots. Thought it was unused. :)

This barn has a "face" and personality.

That barn looks just like the one in "O Brother Where Art Thou?" that they burn down in one of the opening scenes.

Great Photography, btw!

Amazing images! I love that you used black and white. The big tree, and hay makes it even more special. The old road leading up to the barn is wonderful too!

Brian...These images are stunning in black and white. I love the way you take us closer and closer in each shot. We have a neighbor who own property with a barn like this. You thing it is deserted until you drive up and see it houses bales of hay. Monochrome was the perfect medium for these pictures.genie
