Funny, they are long toes! Great capture of the Green Heron!

A perfect capture! The feathering detail is beautiful. He is a beauty from his head to his long toes! :)

What great coloring on him. He doesn't look very big for a heron unless he's just really young. Very different than the GBH.

great detail on him! caught just enough of his feather sheen to make him 'green'. :)

I enJOY the accessorizing this bird has going on by matching feet to eye make-up & beak lipstick. Beautiful.

Is this an immature Green Heron?!! What a wonderful, close-up Brian! I chased a couple of green herons through the park the other day, finally got to get a photo of them. They're unique and oh so pretty.

Brian...You are a walking encyclopedia of birds. Your knowledge blows Buddy and me out of the ballpark. I need to start a list of the birds you show in your posts. Never have seen a green heron, but would it. Mr.Long Toes is a great name. genie
