Wow is right! Love these - for many reasons...but I think the feather detail is fabulous...all the different kinds of layered fethers on one bird! Amazing! Such great shots - you really do great work!
These are really great close up photos of the grackle. They are noisy and annoying but they also have such beautiful iridescence in their feathers. There's nest in the juniper tree next to the house and they are quite annoying first thing in the morning. :)

Another bird I'm not so fond of, but they are beautiful in the right light and you have captured this one in your usual amazing way.
