Photographing An Insect Hunter

I followed this praying mantis as she was searching for something to eat. At first, she seemed cool with the idea of being followed and photographed, but after a while, I think she got tired of the paparazzi interrupting her hunt.

"You can follow as long as you be quiet. And no flash."
"How about this pose? This is my good side."
"No, wait! Hold up. This is better. Shhhh. They think I'm praying. haha!"
"I dunno. Maybe this is my good side. Whadda ya think?"
"Okay, I gotta get back to hunting. These bugs won't jump in my mouth on their own."
"Well, one more pose. Check out my guns!"
"DON'T MOVE. I'm about to snatch up that ant. He thinks I can't see him."
"Okay, what part of don't move did you not understand? You're scaring away my dinner."
"Hey, man, don't you think you've got enough pictures? I'm trying to hunt here."
"Look! There are some bees over on those other flowers. I hear they like to be photographed."
"Hey, buddy! The show's over. I need some space here!"
"I'm TRYING to blend in! Go away! You're cramping my style."
"Dude! Seriously. You're like a stalker or something. Stop following me!"
"Cripes! Since you won't leave me alone, let's talk. So...how YOU doin'?"
"That's it! I can't work under these conditions. Stupid paparazzi."

Gorgeous shots!
I think she's got an attitude like a certain groundhog we know.

Great shots, Brian. And the commentary wasn't too shabby either. :)

Awesome shots! I really used to like the preying mantis until I watched a documentary and a giant African species ate a mouse.

Freaked me out to be honest :)
