She looks young and at peace. We have Mute swans here and the Forest preserve wants to get rid of them becasue they aren't "native". I think when you live well long enough that you take over the territory ... you become native. I say leave well enough alone. LEt Nature takes it's course. Beautiful picture as always, Brian.

Thanks so much for your encouraging comments. My husband and I are sitting here awed by this photograph. This has to be the most beautiful swan we have ever seen. He looks like he’s crying. It is almost like I want to pick him up and give him a great big hug. The lily pads are just a little bit of icing on your cake. Kudos. genie
